Importing goods to the UK through customs – post Brexit

Importing goods to the UK through customs - post Brexit

You’ll need to use the same import and export processes that are used for non-EU countries.

This means that when moving goods:

  • an export declaration will need to be made in order to remove goods from either the UK or EU;
  • an import declaration will need to be made in order to enter goods into either the UK or EU;
  • you should issue clearance instructions to your carrier/agent at export or import from/to the UK or EU identifying the commodity code and the        purpose of the export/import of goods.

Please contact us for further information in relation to clearance instructions and appointing an agent.
